Lazarus - What do you get when you combine knowledge of the streets with the wisdom of the word? Lazarus has developed this through his music: an effective style in sound delivered with a message.
Born and raised on the outskirts of East New York, this Brooklyn native intermixed his connection to urban life with his faith to reach the masses in a Christian forum. This revolutionary ministry was birthed in the fall of 2005 at Resurrection Church, a multiethnic congregation empowering all generations to fulfill God's kingdom purpose, in Brooklyn, NY. Under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Mattera and Pastor Joyce Mattera, Lazarus was given the opportunity to develop his gifting in an environment where the freedom to worship God in an array of styles is encouraged giving glory and honor to His name.
Through quality sound Lazarus' ministry has brought him to such venues as Resurrection Church's "Fire Xcape", Rap Fest, New Life Bookstore Cafe, American Bible Society's "Elements Of Life", Metro Ministries, Calvary Cathedral, Faith Life Ministries, Christ Tabernacle, Bayridge Christian Center's "Music Fest", The Palace's "Music Rocks Your Soul", Church Without Walls "New Jersey Outreach", SOB's "Jesus Walks", Perfecting Faith Church's "Holy Convocation", Bars of Life, and more.
The Mission
To bring people to the saving knowledge of the Lord and working toward the biblical unity of the body of Christ, in order to establish God's kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
The Vision
To supply an alternative for those individuals faced with the struggles of being influenced by worldly concepts and views. Providing a window for choice and freedom of will, which determines where we spend eternity.
